April Is In My Mistress' Face - Thomas Morley

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
From out of the sweet melancholy of Renaissance England comes this gentle four-voice madrigal from Thomas Morley. I've been wanting to do a madrigal for a while, and this one looked simple enough to tackle. There were a few spots that took lots of takes to get right, but I think the end result was worth it. Just me, my recorders, and lot of breath.
Enjoy!!

Lyrics
April is in my mistress' face
And July in her eyes hath place.
Within her bosom is September,
But in her heart a cold December.

Consider it downloaded
This is not my style music but, I seem to be drawn to it anyway. Great job

Thank you!
Thanks for the download and the comment. Sound like you've got some pretty solid stuff going on, too! I like a good instrumental rock groove now and then, and your music hit the spot!

Nicely done....
I love the sound of the recorder, even more so then the flute....
Knowing they are similar, still very different in timber....

Thanks for shearing.....
