Criminally Insane

I wrote this song in the early 80s. It was inspired by a Harlan Ellison story.
Various friends have been after me to record this for the last three decades.
My friend Dr. Vic Roxx recorded this with The Fury on their Adult Delinquent CD
but without the b5 chords in the verses. Curtis Seals, a keyboardist friend, told me that the b5 is known as " the Devils Chord. I'd been playing the song for 25 years without knowing what a b5 chord was. I just thought it sounded cool.
So, without further ado, through the magic of Garageband and a cheap Harmony Nylon string guitar, we proudly present, in all it's pseudo-literary Garage/Punk glory..... CRIMINALLY INSANE.....

Gaia Starts Heaving and Comes Alive
The Richter Scale jumps to Seven Point Five
In the Star Light Tonight we will Roam
After the walls Crumble at the home
for the Criminally Insane

You're Sitting Home all alone Late at Night
Watching Phantoms Dancing in the Candle Light
A noise outside your Window and a Chill on your Skin
Are you Certain that it's just the Wind?
and Not the Criminally Insane?

Salty Warm Wetness and your Mothers Screams
Tear you from the Comfort of your Fetal Dreams
Blindness and Confusion then you Understand
As you Contemplate the Knife in your Hand
And Know you're Criminally Insane

repeat first verse

Cool Song
This is really cool. It's kind of Rock, Punk and New Wave all in one. The Lyrics are great as well.
Thanks Mike

Criminally Insane!
Sweet song bro! This rocks big time. You've got a pretty unique sound going. It sounds like you're playing a really old strat or tele with an old Fender amp. That's a great guitar sound.

I like it a lot!

I hear it
I hear it... and it sounds develish that b5.... great performance here David and the song is nice to listen to and with a good beat, as opposed to a lot of Punk songs.... guitar sounds good too, despite being nylon stringed and cheap (Taking a leaf out of my book on that score LOL), cheers M

Like the sound here
I dont know much about how to categorize music like this but if I was to take a blind stab at it I would say there are elements of punk and country. Sorta in the vein of "wynona's big brown beaver". Fun song to listen to, doesnt take itself too seriously. Nice one here, enjoyed it!
