Lyrics
the day the rain came to the garden that we made,
and even though it made you cry you stood and watched your flowers die.
as they washed away the birdseed it took the only thing i need.
will the butterfly wings break in the wind?
will the butterfly wings break in the wind?
you began to wither as they began to wilt.
your face changed as the colors faded from green to brown.
we raked it all together, the wind blew it apart,
and at the end of summer near the autumns start.
the frost came to our garden. that's when the frost came to our garden.
(whisper) but it was already dead......it was already dead.
it was already dead, by then.
cause this all started. this all started...
the day the rain came.
and up and down and round it goes. weaving Charlotte's web or so i'm told.
up and down and round it goes...weaving Charlotte's web or so i'm told. (repeat 2X's)
that it soon will be springtime again, but heaven knows when it is, but heaven knows when it is, but heaven knows when it is. only heaven knows.
the day the rain came to the garden that we made and even though it made you cry and even though it made you cry you stood and watched your flowers die, and as they washed away the birdseed it took the only thing i need.
will the butterfly wings break in the wind?
will the butterfly wings break in the wind?

I got my ear on you!
Glad to see your back,
Excellent song, and the guitar suburb!
The bass a bit muddy, but like you wrote a rough cut.
Still one of my favorite vocalist.
I have something in mind for you.
When the time is right I will look for you and your wife's approval.
A very creative piece, taking a classic story and making it your own.
This will be a classic!!

thanks
hey, good to see you again scaustrita!! i'm really glad you liked it. i wrote the song and for once i actually had alot of lyrics. anytime i don't have to struggle for lyrics is great. tony played the electric guitar and as soon as i heard this tone i really felt he was onto something.
i'm glad you liked my vocals. your opinion in this regard carries alot of weight with me because as i've mentioned before you've featured some great ones on your posts.
you have something in mind ?!?! well send me a message or let's talk...i'm all ears. just to remind you though i consider myself a singer and/or songwriter, and i'm pretty much useless on anything technical.
i'm glad you like the song and seem to have such faith in it. now i've got to catch up on your posts! :)
