Cool Dark Latin
Vibe in this tune. I think this has a pretty nice groove going. Cool start. I could hear a Johnny Cash vocal style over this (I know, strange person to pick for this one).

A Bob
said - could go like Led Zep. Or could go even more spanish sounding for a flamenco style. Could turn reggae. I think it depends on the drums a lot, at the moment it's quite an easy going feel. But whatever you do with the drums will totally change the feel. Nice chords & rhythm, ready for anything.
Cheers

Good riff!
I would centre those bass tones though, and rather use stereo reverb, delay, or other fx to give them the left-right sound.

Wow...
This needs some kick ass drums behind it and some killer vocals and guitar work... This is great Steve! Take it and run man. I could see it opening up pretty much like you have it then blossoming into some killer drums then guitars come in to fill it out...
