Geo's Anthem (Call Me Home)

Description
This piece was done as a dedication to my friend George on another site. George has been very ill and has suffered over the last 3 months with complications due to his diabetes.

I believe music can have a healing effect on people, so I hoped this piece would have strong Medicine for my friend..

I know that George had a run in with a few of you a couple years back, but I can tell you this is one man who is passionate, loyal, caring, gentle, and funny as hell..and he is my friend...

I worked hard on this piece, I wanted it to be right...I hope you agree that it has the same passion as my friend George has...

The percussion is from Marcus Johnson
The guitars are from three sample sources
The stings & Synths are from me..

Hope you Like "Geo's Anthem"

Geo's Anthem
Great percussive strumming on rhythm guitar. The drums fit the tune like a glove. The lead lines with lots of sustain are a nice changeup. Great job overall. Hope your buddy pulls through.

Propulsive, anthemic
This song fits its title well: the soaring guitar lead lines and 16th-note percussion really give it a powerful and anthemic quality--a moving tribute!

Beautiful
Dave, you did a wonderful job here and it's a very fitting tribute to a fellow who is not only also a talented man, but has helped many people along the way. I remember how generous he was in hooking up me and a very fine percussionist out this way last year---that's Geo for you!

I sincerely wish him the very best wishes and hope he regains his health very soon!

You take care now and thanks again,

Michael

Uplifting
Sampled guitars? It all sounds very well integrated. Good job.

In a couple of places it sounds too much like a backing tracks. Make sure you keep something happening. Nothing wrong with instrumentals, but there should be something to listen to. Random place: around 2:40 that flanged guitar sounds like it should play a solo, not chords. You have something like 40 seconds of that rhythm before the lead guitar comes in. Too long.
