I wrote this song for a video that I made for my wife on our 35th Wedding Anniversary a couple years ago. It was originally done on GB. I ran it thru Logic Pro, changed some of the instruments around, fixed some processing, etc. I still need to re-do the vocals, which will happen "some day".

This was wonderful....
Very soothing sounds! Your melody line, lyrics, vocal, arrangement and mix take me back to the wonderful sounds I remember hearing in my younger years and this caught me by surprise. Keep up the good work and would enjoy hearing more from you in this line! Take care now, Michael

Michael- Thanks! My brother and I wrote that in the late 1960's when we had a band called Bittersweet (and a music store by the same name). Song had different lyrics- called it "Strangers". Played all over the upper midwest. He later had a band called "The Peter Z Band". I left Minneapolis (listen to my song "Boone's Farm" for the details) and ended up in Phoenix. Thanks for the comment!

Song for Wife
I was touring when we met- and that was 40 years ago. Got married right after high school- going on 38 years now. She always believed in my music, and in me. She's hoping I'll come up with some new tune, sell it, and we can retire before we're 95!

This one has a video that goes with it-a real family favorite!

Take care-

Great song
and full of happy. Reminiscent of the late 60's and a very pleasant reminder. Lucky you. :)

Full of Happy
I met my wife in high school - I was playing in a very successful regional touring band, and gone every weekend, and either rehearsing or in the studio recording weekdays. We got married about 2 years after we graduated high school. Best friends for 40 years now.

this song is now being heard ~
. . . Reminding me of the band : 'simple minds'ish - vocal-wise - I don't know if some folks like to be compared to others - but it = Greg Lake - And I just
love greg lake's voice - and perform a bunch of emerson's stuff too - the middle - bagpipe-ish sound at 1:05 is very effective - and spicy. -
subtle gentle backgroundy fill is mixed just right thoughout the duration of this number -
not meaning to write that this song is dated at all - oh yes - and I too can remember using those old sperry univac 1050-2's -

reminding me of the band
Scott- thanks for the comment. I don't mind being compared to other people or bands. Since this is based on a song my little brother (aka Peter Z from years ago in MPLS) wrote in 1969 or 70, I am pleased that you recognized the era. If you listen to other tunes I have here, you will get a lot of my old prog rock (late-60's to early 70's) influence. I Love ELP. You must be in the Twin Cities based on your list of venues played. Have we met before? In any case, thanks for the listen and comments!

Started playing in regional touring bands in Minneapolis in the late 60's. Keyboard player, into computers and electronic music since they first came out. Built my own synthesizer in 1970 as a high school electronics project. Sort of worked. My fa... [see more]
