Acoustic Meditation (w/Dadai)

Description
I sang an unrehearsed soliloquy over Jack's resonant, open-tuning guitar track: Acoustic Byways: http://www.macjams.com/song/60120

Also see http://www.macjams.com/song/60439

My original intention was to sing Jack's meditation on grace and justification, but instead I drifted off in a different direction, doing the main voice track in one pass, unscripted. Based loosely on taking care of my granddaughter Grace at the Holy Thursday service at St. Mary's Church.

Guitar: Jack Miller. Vocals: Richard Schletty

Lyrics
It's about relationships with family and God. How do you tell a one-year-old what and where God is?

unrehearsed
and natural. Teaching our grandchildren about the Lord is an awesome blessing. I love Jack's guitar, and you added Rich-ness to it.

unrehearsed

Thanks, Roxy. As you know, I have an idea for a more rehearsed and disciplined approach to Jack's soundtrack. Let's work on that after taxes are done!

Wow,
at the beginning the sound of this could be an early Yes song from the 70's then it morphs in
and out of that sound to a sort of Neil Diamond doing a religious revival spot.Very interesting and inspiring piece, delightful.Nice one Richard and Jack very nice.Cheers jarvoid

What a pleasant surprise...
Richard, thanks for adding your impromptu vocal hymn/prose to my guitar. I could picture you there at St. Mary's holding and caring for you granddaughter.

I was not expecting your higher register vocal in the beginning... very nice... an inspired way to start. Again, thanks.

Jack

What a pleasant surprise...

Hey, captain, I did it effortlessly. Your guitar noodling was graceful and inviting. The high voice thing...yes, a little Coldplay, I suppose.

gentle breeze
That seems to be what I felt while listening... gentle but sweet guitar work, and gentle singing accompaniment that folded in nicely. No screaming, no wild special effects, just simple humanity, singing and playing a song of praise.
Nicely done you two!

Yep, just trying to ride Dadai's slipstream. Nice description of the commingling, Eduard. We appreciate your words.
