Description
Carla did a tribute and a thank you to her friend Dika Flow.
I put her on a trolley, pushed her over my aural canvas and, organically, ended up with these scribblings and dabbles!

Vocals and lyrics: Carla J Patterson

hey marc and carla
this is really, really nice
the music puts me in mind of some of that cluster and eno stuff we were bantering on about recently for some reason
spoken word material is a new avenue for you to explore? (not sure i have heard you work with speaking voice before)

excellent

Hey B!
Thanks man, you are right though, I used an Arturia Jupiter 8 bell and an Admiral Quality poly ana bass sound. Old soothing 70's goodness, imo. Beats are of course from Microtonic, and a plethora of fx were used, again unfortunately.
I have done some spoken-word with DjevAsnew in the past (back then iam0pen) but with Carla it is new. She digged it, thank god (!). Well, I think Carla and I are on a path to more collabs. Boy is she a talent, and boy am I lucky she likes my musical approach up till now.

Into second listen now .... the first was a wash for commenting as my jaw was on the floor. I have learned to never be surprised by being surprised by your music. You know I really dug that guy Justbase and this sounds just like him only it is you. The instrumentation and lyrics intertwine beautifully. ..... waving to you and yours ... thanks for the download

Indian is
waving back. Melancholy and flashbacks are mixed with bittersweet prospects of the future. I'll just keep on plowing. Your comment really hit home. Love, Marc

Wow
Not what I expected, but definitely a nice surprise. Great prose over this jam and a solid use of instruments to compliment her voice. Well done to both of you.

Thanks Mitch!
I wasn't expecting it as well. That might sound weird, but what mostly happens is me listening to a jam over and over and then, I either succeed or it has to wait. And this one kind of worked! Thank you so much for your continued support, comments and friendship. Marc

sigh. Thank you so much Len. I am always wondering what you, Jack and the other regulars will think of it. I agree with you, without trying to sounding arrogant, on the symbiotic quality of this particular track. Cu soon! Love, Marc

very pretty
The vocals were surprising, even though I knew they were coming. Very cool words, great synth work, great delays. Too short though! The drums coming in at the end make me want more. You did that on purpose didn't you!

grand elements slide into place
a slow flow, but what do you know? Together, Turtle and Carla go!

This is mesmerizing, soothinating, percolating, like hot coffee on a cool morning. Very well done, M&C, as always.

Drakonis
