Description
So, I did a new version after the old one crashed. It's a hell of a lot better sounding, IMO. I've also created four different mixes while I work on learning about compression: http://aetherealmetal.com/a-tale-of-four-mixes/ — That's all four of them.

All sound fab. Acoustic guitar sounds wonderful with a deeper EQ emphasis which adds to the mood.
Drums sound clear and the bass is sweet as is the electric guitar (really well played)
I think the vocal should come up a bit so it jumps out a bit more though.
Cool lyrics with a moody delivery giving this a very interesting feel

Haunting
One of my definite favorites from the recent MJ crop. This is such a well thought out and coherent piece of music. Your vocals sound close and intimate with the acoustic guitar, and that works well. Really like the drum line when it first comes in. The heavy parts are very meaty, big crunchy guitar sound. I would have brought the drums up, but ... eh ... I'm a drums nut. Great stuff. Should re-post the lyrics. They're quite good.

Drums...
The drums kill me. This is the GarageBand "Heavy Kit" which I have subsequently beefed up to "Heavy Beef and Bass" but it still sounds like ass. I'm hoping to be getting my grubby little paws on Metal Foundry when I get some money and that baby is going to be sweet. I'm in the process of practicing my skills up to record an EP this summer.

This track is part of a story, actually. It's the "coming true" part of the Premonitions storyline. I actually just posted the other song (called Premonitions). I hope you like it as well.

Also, I don't have studio monitors, I mix in a cheap pair of headphones and on my build in speakers in my iMac. So, sometimes the mix is a bit crappy.

You know, if you dig this kind of stuff you should definitely check out the record "Damnation" by the band Opeth.
