City Butterfly

Get Flash to see this player.

From within the deep surroundings of a people rampaged hectic scurrying city scene, is a calm and spirited green park. Inside the park, suspended on a branch is where the journey begins for a young and beautiful butterfly. Gazing at the strength and size of the city landscape, the butterfly spreads her magnificent painted wings and flutters to the direction of the "unknown" place. Through the iron park gates and into the beyond she encounters fast cars, lights, smells and busy noise. Her flight path is constant for fear of everything before her. This composition is seen and represented through the eyes of the butterfly and how something so fragile can overcome in a fast paced and frightening world.

I am frightened
for the butterfly. It has an Oriental flavor in parts. I can't imagine the noise and the confusion surrounding such a fragile creature as she glides on the air. You are all about giving the mundane importance and homage. Brilliant. :)

Reminds me of my visit to Kyoto. Crazy busy city but there were these ancient temples hidden within full of serene beauty. I can imagine a butterfly leaving one of those gardens and emerging into the chaos of the city. This is wonderful, full of the perfect balance of delicacy and energy to elicit the images you describe. I love how you pass the flight of the butterfly to different instrument while never losing the feeling that it IS a butterfly. Very well done.

You always
impress - lovely description and great music. I must admit that the 'Yordbear' bit is a tad irritating though.
Hope you are well.

Thanks Len! I know - i must admit,,this "Yordbear" dont fit in ..It might have been better whispered - but they are on most of my tracks as a kind of digital watermark. hahaha I promise i wont put one on the upcoming collab with Hickling_Stan..:-)

butterfly kicks up a storm...
Your choice of instruments and roughly sticking to the 5-tone scale does indeed give this an oriental flavor. The description and music do indeed paint a picture of frenetic anxiety, coupled with beauty and brilliance. In fact, I could imagine as I listened, the fast-action fish-eye-lens movie that would go along with this... definitely calls for a short movie to be made as accompaniment. Very nicely written.
