just a sliver of a moon
as i walk through this town
yea it is trash night
and i am sacred bound
i am counting my steps
and i am looking at my hands
i am feeling your skin

some might say that i am a bird in the wind
i learned how to fly
it is time to begin

well i am watching the sky
seeing what it might do
i am thinking about the way i feel about you
i am watching the sky

i am just a bird in the wind
never learned how to fly like this before
it is time to begin

yeah i give it away
something i never had until today
i look in your eyes
i see myself
i look in your eyes
i see myself
i see what you bring
i see what you have made
you carry it with you darling
it never fades

birds flying in the wind
yeah we have never flown like this before
well it is time to begin

birds in the wind
birds on a wire
yeah i have never seen a bird like me
a bird on fire
look at my hands
count my steps
getting closer to you
and all the rest
bird on the wind
bird on fire
i fall asleep at night
so full of desire
i look to the west.

Love it!
Great set of words and a terrifc sparse arrangement and production. If I was going to change anything on this, I'd probably give the bottom end a bit of a nudge - seems to lack both bass and kick drum. Probably agreat radio mix though.
Very cool song and performance.

I like the hook, and the vocs are bringing the lyrics with the right attitude. I think there are some problems with the mix - maybe a different kick and snare, and some higher parts in the 4th or 5th register would make things better, but it is still a good song.

Hi Tim! so glad you let me know about this fabulous song, i've been really behind in listening and might've missed it - which would've been a crime! i LOVE how you're using piano in here, and as usual your vocal delivery is just TOO cool! i'm a total fan - thanks for this great treat this morning!

theres an art to a sparse arrangement and keeping it as powerful as 70 plus tracks. You are the zen master of this. Nice piano work, love the way it was recorded. Your vocal work is magnificent on this.

cool intro
nice piano, sweet vocals and harmonies, wasn't sure at first if I was gonna like the looseness of the song but it really all fits together and fits the mood of the tune. love that distorted guitar interlude. very cool tim.

Nice work
Pink Floyd meets dylan folk music. Interesting mix. Love that echo you do at the end of the passage, very dramatic. Enjoyed!
