Description

Forever I shall keep trying.

Ah so aye - when a song's nature be that of a dream -
A horse can travel from Ireland to Scotland with great ease.

Oh yet to be the laughing stock of all the land.
Oh here not being with forked tongue as so being tied with it.

. . . was composed and performed by Ratweiller P. Dodge (myselfeth) and Pirate Van De Camp (G.) ; (lyrics from Pirate Van De Camp) in January 2010. . .
' Recorded upon Ensoniq ZR76 keyboard / piano.
* Expressing myself for coffee shops and venues in and around these two twin cites, oft donning festive attire appearing as the gut-wrenching Ratweiller P. Dodge. combining a few show standards with originals.

Indeed fortunate are we . . . to be toted about within coaches and caravans requiring no horses or oxen whatsoever !

Was face to the grindstone for this selection ?

Hammered dulcimer, percussive articles, dreams of dark and ivory clang, and so too those lutes of wood. Rat and Van De Camp; to instruments taketh . . . shaketh . . .

then not to slip asunder - swarms of song . . . perpetual mission.

Oh but I, unfortunate soul, though proud to me own makings, was long before wrongly accused ousted and cast forth. And so I now find myself farther ahead and far away. I find myself locked inside a distant block of time, henceforth onto a far barren land by none but the hand of arch marmaduke V of wales Oh bitter duke of such envy. Ahh the colossal gaul of his miserable carcass !

See Peacock Player Pictures captured by wizard's window box of sweet magic, should you desire. They say of G.'s tale true.

So be it, I have a writer's block and so now shall nap. And so I too gather portions of vittles and grog.

Grateful for approaching and gazing into this my mirror of wonder.

Pirate Van De Camp
Ratweiller P. Dodge

Lyrics

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Are rolling back to the hills - of Ireland
Back to the courtyards - the Quinn and king stands
Ready to make romance where they stand

All the king’s horses and all the kings men
Are rolling down the greenery of Ireland
Back to the courtyard where the Scotsmen stand
All the kings horses are ready to make a stand
Roll down the hills of Ireland – all the kings horses are ready to make a stand
For the queen and the king doth yearn – it stands for Ireland to lose their guard.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men - are rolling back to the hills of Ireland
The king and the queen are ready to make a stand
They dance in the courtyard ready to make romance
Hi diddle ho – where did the horses go
Hi diddle ho – the sound of to and fro
Hi diddle ho – they’re ready to make romance
On the kings courtyard - standing in their pants

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Are pouncing back from Scotland - Back to Ireland
The king and the queen – are ready to make romance
All the king’s horses – stand and prance

All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Are ready to make a stand – Back in Ireland
The king and the queen - are ready to make romance
All the king’s horses - like to fro and prance

Hi diddle ho - where do kings go ?
Hi diddle ho - the kingdom to and fro
Hi diddle ho - they’re ready to make romance
All the king’s horses – dance and prance

hello
thanks - and also for not mentioning the fact that -
well - I guess normally horses cannot - gallop or trot
from ireland to scotland - but in this sing - it is dreamy -
and the lyrics are as well -
so I guess that's possible.
and too = maybe G. had not mentioned -
they had pontoons attached to their hooves . . .

A toast to you and the lady fair.

hi ! - Since it is baroque, we will now repair it.
hi - yes there is one nearby - a Renn. Fest -
Where you too can go - There are mutated-bronto-sized
turkey legs-on-a-stick - and vegetable justice - where one tosses
ripened tomatoes at those who first deliver insults to the tosser -

IT sounds jovial.
When the middle part comes
you can hear the horses start to gallop.
There is a spineless snake like quality in your
use of different drummers and funny sound clicks and voila ! it worked this time around.
A lack of tempo stability is even almost helpful here and perhaps you did it purposely.
Do you like being in this virtual shooting gallery ? You made it happy and helped my tone.

Stepping back in time...
Wow. This is amazingly good. You have writer's block? No way. You just need a nap after all that work of producing this gem. Perfect vocal treatment, too.

Very nice genre piece. Kudos to the vocalist for the performance. That dulcimer has quite a nice sound to it and the simple harmony is really quite effective.

Ratweiller P. Dodge and Pirate Van De Camp were engaged in certain frivolity this day. Lovely, evocative music and perfect vocals, Scott. :)

Perfect timing in honor of our renaissance fairs across the nation. You have certainly brought some vivid visions of memories past Scott. Sounds like you had fun with this. Like the photo, I don't think I've seen music students so young! Hi diddle ho.
