Description
This is the second version of "Trip of a Lifetime" which was never used by Pete Parisi (pictured in the artwork) on his St. Louis cable access show "World Wide Magazine." Pete told me he liked it, but it wouldn't play well on tv speakers and he was right.

I always liked Pete's pun in the line, "we're going to see this whole damn nation." I don't know if he realized the truth of it, but he probably did.

I ran it through GB 5.1 from the old cassette tape to try to enhance the overall fidelity.

Compare and contrast to the other version of this song, "Trip of a Lifetime (Country).

Lyrics
I'm getting ready to go down to the station
It's going to be a big sensation
We're going to see this whole damn nation
It's going to be a really great vacation.

Oh it's the Trip of a Lifetime,
It's the Trip of a Lifetime
It's going to be a really, really nice time,
Cause it's the Trip of a Lifetime

Works for me
Although I prefer the other version, that's just because that style of music tickles my fancy most, but this altogether different version is all right too! I'm thinking this would have made a fine closing to the show with the other version as the opener. Thanks for sharing this Monk--very nice work!

Glad it Works
Thanks Michael. This is an acquired taste. Maybe acquired is the wrong word. I did like the riff and GB really cleaned it up from what it was.

Trip of a Lifetime (Heavy)
They both work! I always like "heavy." But they both have style and charm.

Heavy, Heavy
Thanks A. for coming by and commenting. It cleaned up pretty good and could actually probably be used with "tv" speakers.

Nice track
I think I'll buy this version as well just to be on the safe side. Excellent work here.

Well - they couldn't
be much more different from each other. Just goes to show that a catchy song is a catchy song what ever you do with it. Really like this version - definitely rocks.
Cheers
