The sadness of parting...
a wistful look over her shoulder as she says goodbye and sets off out the door and down the street. Mr. GB looks at the screen, seeing nothing but black keys in his future without her. But then, he realizes there is no music without the black AND the white keys, and he begins to smile... she'll be back.

Hey, this is cool, I like it... almost has a bit of that 80's "FlashDance" bounce to it.

OK, study for now, then come back and play some more!
ttfn,

But the parting will not be long . . .

Nice
Really great groove and feel. Nice sounds, maybe the kick drum is a bit loud but otherwise this flows nicely.

Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by and for the input! I do love that kick drum LOL, and I often crank it and crank it, and I never notice until I convert it to an MP3 in iTunes how darned loud it is. :)

It's more like cliffhanger music...
Action leading up to your supposed exit from GarageBand, but those of us smart enough to wait for the conclusion, already know how it will end (or continue).

Oh, right, yes. I'm supposed to comment on the tune. I added it as one of my favorites. Doesn't that say everything? :P

Ha!
Yeah, it's a pretty predictable ending, I suppose! Thanks for the favorites add. :)

I think the kick is just fine...
Songs like this need a solid and beefy kick for motion, you leave it like it is. :) there's a definite sense of traveling, like the thud of tires over the little joists in the concrete on a long highway... I enjoyed the textures and layering a lot!

I am like Lester Bangs in "Almost Famous"--fundamentally uncool. I have been trying very hard to be one of the cool kids for about thirty years now, but I think it's time to throw in the towel in put my energies into elevating Loser-dom into a state... [see more]
