A recent orchestrated piano composition - in F# minor -

building on a simple central exposition -

No adamant bpm rate was established . . . purposely . . . however, I believe a duple meter is quite apparent throughout . . .

I think there are implications of forthcoming developments here -

whoever it may be

sorry if it is too sobering - and too somber-sounding . . .

maybe it can be pepped up

Why apologize for sobering and somber if that's what you were trying to convey? Lovely piece. I love the duet sections between the piano and cello.

Pensive & reflective. Would work well as a movie soundtrack.

F#minor???? this just shows what amazing chops you have - i'm way too chicken (and unskilled) to play anything in F#minor! cello is gorgeous in here with the piano - look forward to whatever develops next with this - although it doesn't really NEED anything else to feel "finished" to me. fabulous work scott!

F# Minor procession to...
This is definitely somber, not quite a funeral procession, there's still light and hope here, which makes this a gorgeous balance. I really like the composition. However, the synthy-sax (I think it is) seems a little out of place here, I might suggest either clarinet or english horn in its place throughout (which you DO seem to use in the ending coda?) Anyway, other than that, this is excellent, sobering, thoughtful.

Beautifully played
haunting melody. Beautifully played with lots of ebbs and flows of emotion in the keys. The midi instruments could be better sounding, I may be able to help you with that if you were so inclined. There are some tricks you can do to take the midi edge off. Great song here man. Very well done

Not to worry
Not overly somber. Sounds peaceful, melodic and dramatic all at the same time which is good!

once again ~ sox
hi once again - and thanks for the comments - this one - I know it sounds cliche' - but it has been redone since - and improved -
and corrected - and my 'sax' part on this new take of "Cantabile" decided to go back to the future - replaced by a pair of clean sox.
sometimes i write odd stuff to see who is reading - but the sax was really removed -
- take care for now - scott
