First I wish I
had a room like that !

Second what have you done to it? This is the first Macjams tune that I have listened to when the Screen Saver has activated !

Interesting sounds and twists and turns....I wouldn't try to whistle or hum it tho' it might turn my head inside out ! And all done on just the three instruments cited...very good.

Cheers, Jarvoid

For $32 an hour it can be yours
It's one of the many studios at Ultrasound in NYC. We usually use a smaller room - but the other night they were very slow so they closed a floor and put us in this one.
Next time - put on your visualizer if you have a mac - more fun. Thanks so much for the comments.

Yes this was a jam - in that it was not predetermined
structurally. On the other hand - we have decided to not play any of our songs - or song forms for a while to see what we discover in the process. We had been alternating improv with songs in our set - so we're kind of looking for a vocabulary and some signals for communication.

The most
unlikely jam I have heard for awhile. Post 5:00 you guys hit on something --- dark and ethereal. Impressive array of (restrained) sounds.

Yeah - I appreciate the comment
with these things it's often what happens after the storm that's interesting - but it takes a lot of patience to hang in that nowhere zone. We're just trying to improve our ability to be nowhere and somewhere at the same time.

I think your new song title says it
irrational exuberance indeed. But thanks all the same.

Some rambunctious meanderings happening here. Love when the attitude changes and it basks in the afterglow. Double Steve's pay. He's a madman.

Totally radio friendly
The beginning reminded me of the LA Woman intro. 10 seconds after that you guys were (and I was with you) in some trance light years from there.
I tried to imagine what the first 5 minutes could be without the drums. From that I thought the drums is the glue that keeps you all together.
Cool change around 5 mins. The bass makes some really cool touches in there.
And that bass in the end, that doesn't sound like a bass at all (I think it's the bass). The music is completely cinematic. It could transform a rambo trailer in a piece of art cinema. Or put this music as background of a modern art expo and you get a free trip to somewhere. You guys could transform the mood and elevate any place with this music.
You are into something. I don't think this is easy to listen music for most, but I admire how you are exploring without too much concern about that.
