Description
Tell me what you think. What do you like, what do you hate, what do you think could be better, what do you think is good, etc

1st Mix

interesting fact: there are no drums in the chorus. I basically used glassware, pots, pans, boxes, and other percussive type appliances and banged them together

Lyrics
Listening to Beatles records late at night
Drinking chamomile tea with honey and I
am pointing out the Galaxies in the sky
as we're measured by scales and rulers and time

I need to know, if this is for real
and I need to know, if we're even real

Technicolor dreams and butterflies
Hexagonal patterns in the sky
We will change the world one word at a time

Close our eyes and open up your mind
Square route of the love we left behind
like Sandcastles that erode over time.

So, are you
demonstrating that I could do something as sweet as this without having instruments? I love it. Thanks. :)

Loved it
Great voice and great variation of sounds to keep it intresting the only problem i have is the insect sounds at the beginning you need a longer more varied sounds :) But otherwise great great track!

Very nice!
I'd have never known by listening that you were using those every day objects--they worked marvelously on here! Good work on this song, with lots of imagery in the lyrics and nicely sung too. My one suggestion on this would be to soften the intro--bring it down just a bit in volume and then wide open for the verse and rest of the song. Otherwise, very creative and good work! Thanks for posting!

This is a wonderful song. The guitar orchestration in the intro is lovely. The intro may be a tad long, but I personally loved the sound of it. And it does build nicely to the vocal.

Nice melody and vocals I really like the backing vocals. I don't know that it needs the MIDI instrumental in the middle. You had a wonderful and unique thing happening between guitars, voices, and the percussion. I was glad when that feel returned at 3:50. By the way, I love the percussion. This mix sounds a tad distorted.

Thanks again
for the kind words and the constructive criticism. I am working on your suggestions now as I type. I cut the intro in half and tried re-EQing some parts to iron out conflicting frequencies that would cause it to sound distorted. I'll have to rethink a different approach to the instrumental in the middle.

Very cool
This is top quality in every regard. I would back up everything Andrew said (alackbass) He already mentioned the same things I would have. I hope to hear more of your music, you are very talented.
Peace

I like the way you put this together. Your instrumentation carries the song.

I love this !!!
OK, you asked something to critisize, so let me start with that :-)

I was just thinking, maybe the intro could be somewhat shorter. I kind of waited for you to kick into the first verse.

But, other than that, I am amazed by the percussions as you did. Really great work. You've got nice vocals and the chorus, it's beautiful ! It's kind of a melodies that stays on and on in my mind even after having heard the song. Very catchy.

A beautiful work, honestly, I can see mainly very very good things.

Bravo !

hi
Sweet tune. Like the intro, rather intriguing, but i would take that nature sound right down as it is over powering. There is plenty to listen to hear with a lot of changes. Sometimes i am hearing a little bit of distortion. Which might mean you have something too hot, or you could do with the odd EQ cut. Cool song and hey welcome to the MJ machine?
