Lyrics
Huh?
Forget about the things that lie on your back
Just lay back and chew the fat
Tiptoeing through the underbrush
Don’t stand low and don’t let go
Vegifying on a sofa bed
Thank God, you’re as good as dead
When the cement has hardened your eyes
Don’t tell lies and turn a smile
Shampoo traded for a cigarette
No respect, you lose the bet
Rasputin lies on a easy chair
The Romanovs, they hide everywhere
Your faith has abandoned you
Tell the truth, it lies in you
We have all the finest traits
Don’t you hate the United States

Now there's that signature lavalamp sound. Cool trippy tune. I know this probably isn't what you were going for. But this has an early Blue Oyster Cult feel. Your vocal is very similar to Eric Bloom. And the vocal production (either the double tracking or the delay you're using) add to that character. And the clean rhythm guitar sound is very much like the one they used in "She's As Beautiful as A Foot" and the "The Last Days of May." The lead guitar sound also has that jazz meets rock tone from "The Last Days of May."
Boy am I showing my age!
