Lyrics

I can't take it anymore
Tired of rowing for the shore
I can't wait for truth to rescue me

Through the days and the nights
My imagination fights
Apparitions you just cannot see

I lay down inside my boat
On this dark sea I will float
I surrender to a certain destiny

-----

I dream about a clear blue sky
And wish that one day I could fly
My wings unfold and will carry me
Far away from this endless sea

-----

Darkness falls again at night
There's no comfort , there's no light
Pray the waves might take me while I sleep

Like it has at times before
Daylight sees a distant shore
I can never reach or so it seems

I stare at that distant land
Wonder if it's all so grand
Close my eyes and drift into the night

-----

Tossed and turned as night goes on
Im not sure I'll see the dawn
Mighty is the power of the sea

Clouds roll in the sky grows dark
Water rises past the mark
I slip into a dream of what could be

Free at last from earthly ties
I ascend into the skies
The light grows bright and it's blinding me

Endless Sea
I really like everything about the song, great rhythm, solid vocals, production is polished and great overall feel to it. The only thing is that I think is to upbeat for the lyrics. But that is just me.

Thanks for the compliments.

I think your last sentence is saying you think the music is too upbeat? I was shooting for the 'sad' chords for the verses and 'happy' chords for the chorus...in keeping with the lyrics.

Cheers

Upbeat!
Yes, the music is to upbeat! Even though you try sad chords, the overall feeling is more upbeat than the lyrics. But then again, that is how I personally perceived it.

love the rythmn guitar effect. has an 80's feel in a way for the verse then much more current for the chorus. vocals are great. cool guitar fills. this is a really excellent tune. main lead hits the spot. really loving that rythm delay it provides a fantastic energy and identity. well produced. great final lead. excellent post. enjoyed it a lot. cheers

Thanks for the kind words. There was certainly a nod to the U2 guitar style of the 80's ;)

I've got your earlier non-studio post. It pops up in my iTunes from time to time. This is definitely an improvement!

Nicely done!

Ah
Love this song. So very much the sort of thing I like listening to. At times it reminds me a but of U2 (esp. the linking guitar licks between the verses) then at other times the fullness of the sound reminds me of Yes. These are high praises from my point of view, I hope they are for you too!

Ah
I appreciate the high praise. Thanks. As mentioned above there is the nod to U2's guitar stylin's. I read you Bonfire of Thoughts blurb and it would seem we have the same creative tendancies.

Cheers.

gave this another listen and like it even more. the delayed guitars are so cool and effective. chorus has great power then back into the delayed guitar. really excellent tuneage. love the distorted guitar fills etc. solo tone is great and choice of notes mean somethings. coooooool man. looooove it.
