Description
Omar Khayyam is a persian philosopher, scientist and poet.
He's sometimes told to be from arabia by mistake, but he's really persian.
This song is based on one of his poems against some muslim preachers who forbid wine and harm the people who drink it.(Wine is forbidden in Islam!!!)
I have included his poem's translation in English, but I don't think I've done it well.

Lyrics
English Translation;

If you don't drink wine, don't tell drunks not to do it
Don't preach, don't cheat and don't make a story of this
Don't be proud of not drinking wine
You do lots of things much worse than drinking wine

beautiful
Hauntingly beautiful.
Really like this contrast of somewhat hallowed traditional sound with contemporary rhythmic sounds.

I really like this sort of combination
It works for me, and I enjoyed listening to it.

I guess if it was mine, I would seek to give more foreground to the singing, and put the drums and electronica more to the background. However, I am so inept myself, I couldn't tell you how to do that!

Nice ending though! Which part of the verse were the last three/four words?

Psy

PS Reminded me of Byrne/Eno's Qu'ran, or all the work of Niyaz

Thanks
The ending words are: "Don't tell the drunks not to drink wine"
I wanted to give more focus to the music, so I have lowered the vocals volume, but yours is a good idea too.
Thank you for the comment.

Great!
The first minute or so the melodies seem to weave in and out of each other, and then the beat comes in and pulls it all together. Nice job with your effects--not overdone and cheesy at all. Thanks for posting.

BTW, is this you singing?

...and thou
I love wine. I love singing and dancing, too. And peace.
Really nice idea, conceptual arrangement. Nice combination of electronic and traditional. I totally applaud the idea. I met several Bahai members in Hawaii who wanted to convert me, but they didn't drink and didn't allow homosexuality, so I knew instantly they were not yet enlightened. Thanks for sharing this.

Bahai...
They are one step beyond shias.
They believe that the "Imam e Zaman", the savior of the world!!! has come and the shias are awaiting him!So lame!
And the homosexuality is a sin in Islam.
Islam is crap! I really think so.
Thanks my friend.I'm glad you like it and I think you are really open minded and I wish Iranians were like you! ;)
