Description
Really this is the last 'horse song' for a while, honestly! It is the last song on my Oxfordshire album which contained the previous equestrian stuff, and sort of signs them out i think reasonably well. It is simple to the point of absurdity, but i hope enjoyable just the same! The lyrics were penned by a friend of mine as a poem years and years ago, and when this album got going, i thought they might work alongside songs of a similar theme.

It is quickly over, as if departing at a good lick. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Lyrics
Away! Away!
(Lyrics: D. Deacon)

Ride a white horse from the time you’re reborn,
To look for a land, beyond the mountains of dawn,
And if your heart is true, maybe you’ll find there,
That the land of you dreams is so real and so fair
And if we should meet in that land one day,
Together we will ride away, away…

Not as lovely as your voice!
Listened to your song Did Ya Know, and loved it. A little sad that it is a song of sorrow. Glad you found something soothing here.

Thanks for not bolting!
Glad you liked it. If my arrangements get any sparser, they won't be there at all, but i seems to suit this song, perhaps. Clarity is a bit of a lottery to be honest, but i must have twiddled the right knobs on this occasion!

Cheers

Horses
Sorry about the nasty accident, but glad if the song gave some light relief! Do you like horse poems? Perhaps i might mention 'The Horses' by Edwin Muir? A great piece that, if you can get hold of it online. You probably know it backwards already!

Cheers
