Imagination (An Inner Journey Mix)

Sometimes when I am putting a piece of Ambient music together I try to expand my imagination by a sort of guided meditation where I imagine a piece of paper and
then rip the piece into many small pieces onto a table, then imagin the surface of the table, with the pieces of paper on, as part of the whole table, then imagine the table as it takes up volume in the room I'm in. I then think of the room and where it sits in my consciousness, then once I have this I think of the room with respect to the house I'm in, then move onto the house with respect to the street then the street with respect to the suburb then the suburb with respect to the city and then the city with respect to the county and the the county with respect to the country and the country with respect to the landmass and then the landmass with respect to the planet and then the planet with respect to the solar system. Each stage gets harder to imagine in perspective
and so takes longer to 'put into the context of the whole' as the whole grows larger with each step in the process.

I've been doing this for some years, so the earlier parts of this mind and consciousness journey come easier to me now. I also practise this type of inner journey, thinking of people in the room, house, street, suburb, city, county, country, world, embracing all humanity within my consciousness. It gives me a sense of how small I am and yet how connected I am with everyone else, on one level or another.

Call me mad but let me know your thoughts on this mix or anything else.

OK you're mad!
I think this is one of your best for a while. The mix is really good. No-one is in at present, so I've got it booming out! I like the deep rumbling pads and the delicate fade out. Yes, it could be longer, I think too.

Nice Paul.

Wow, this was really great. I definitely drifted off into another galaxy as I listened. The mix is terrific too, sounded perfect through my headphones!
