Arrangement and accompaniment: Bob Boyd Productions, used with unexpressed permission and a tacit understanding of sorts.

Vocal, "Turban Glee Club", other random, possibly unidentifiable noises: MJK

Harald!
Well, I remember making strange gibberish for some of the background to give it a sound of something being said on stage but not intelligible--glad you untangled that stuff! Thanks again my friend--too, too kind! Michael

Oh no!
You mean, those unidentifiable noises I made are copyrighted? Well, I am sorry about that Chris! I had NO idea they were yours, but I'll send you a nice fat royalty check in the post first thing Monday! Thanks again for listening and the nice words about this--the arrangement is inspired by one Louis Prima featuring Sam Butera and the Witnesses did once upon a time (in a weird kind of way, I wish I could sound like Louis Prima--don't ask!) You take care now Major! Michael

Actually, I popped out in the year 1964 (and keep this under your hat--in a strange way, I enjoy people thinking I'm only in my early 90s or what have you!) Thanks for stopping by and laying down the graciously kind remarks! Michael

Hey Dave!
I'm glad you liked this little production--I only wish I could have found more believable "applause"--yanno? The sound FX tracks always stop abruptly, and even some tinkering with that was not satisfactory. But you know, I'd much rather heare the applause from you anyway--thanks again! Michael

turb of the times
Great fun, as always!

Certainly takes one back to a (possibly rose-tinted?) era when this sort of subject could make such harmless amusement!

I am a full member of the cold snap sufferers collective and this is almost as good as hot whiskey and ginger wine!

Cheers

Thanks again!
I think every era is "rose tinted"--it's probably a necessity to cope with stuff. We still do it today by focusing on frivolous issues while relatively ignoring the more serious things. Incidentally, the song "Sheik of Araby" was written for Rudolph Valentino--I had neglected to mention that! Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to check this thing out--much appreciated! I was back there...
Hey Michael, I was transported back to the 50's and expected Bing and Bob to wonder into the scene trailing Dorothy Lamour. Nice version. Your vocals and phrasing do this justice and inject the warmth and humour into these songs that they deserve. Thanks.

Woo-woo! Thanks greatly Peter--I also had to sing at the top of my range for most of this and boy, was that cause for an ER visit, let me tell you! You take good care now and keep up the fantastic work I've been hearing from you! Michael

Thanks Dick!
I did some demos for Bob when he ran his own outfit and got a dozen or so tracks from him gratis (they were bought up by a bigger company--I won't mention the name now or I'll have somebody writing me a PM couched in pseudo-legalese questioning me about them, etc.) Thanks very much Dick--your visits are well appreciated! I remember working my behind off on this one (probably doesn't sound like it though--but that "glee club" thing was the worst of it!) I'm so happy you liked this and you know, you do something to me (something that simply mystifies me--oops, that's another song!) You take care now, xox Mish

Damn fine stuff
Did you ever catch The Beatles verion of "Shiek of Araby"? Funny stuff from the BBC days before Beatlemania really kicked in. Anyways... your recording is great and I'm digging my MJK afternoon. How much do you charge for Christmas parties?

Stephen!
You again! Thanks! Well, I will have to contact my sister (the biggest Beatle freak of all time--although I often think she's just a plain, regular freak, but she won't see this anyway) and ask about that version by the Beatles (by the way, when I was about 8 months old, Ringo and Paul waved to me, my sister and my mom back in 1965 from their limo--true story!) Thanks as always! I'll be performing at my company's Christmas party this year (and what I like most of all is they are paying me for it--I'm not THAT generous to the people I work for yanno!) Thanks so very much--you take care now, Michael
