Remember When

Description

Opens in Bb Major
After 40 seconds – woodwinds join
my yamaha grand piano
And remain throughout almost the entire six and a half minutes . . .
trying to lower dynamics at times so as to not overshadow the grand piano.
I needed to spice up the melody -
An Old Clunky Black Metal Keyboard Expander Kurzweil K-1000 rack mount module
and an Ensoniq ZR76 keyboard workstation were used for srings and woodwinds.
Original –

Did I
happen to mention how much I love your piano playing Scott?

The intertwining of the woodwinds fits perfectly.

This is really quite beautiful.

Winter Snowfall
The woodwind addition is delightfully disarming--really nice touch. I can see this song accompanying a gentle, quiet snowfall. I like the title a lot, because the song definitely has a touch of nostalgia in it. It really is achingly beautiful. Thanks!

Remember When Christmas
Hi Scottie - so you see, YOU are the metal and I AM the magnet!! this is lovely - very cool woodwinds, although your naked piano is always breathtakingly wonderful. (really cool broken chords on the flute!) thanks for this treat!

Warm and Bright!
Thanks for sharing your inspiring work with us here.
The hollow texture in the flute offers a balance, perhaps an important component to the whole... maybe not, once I got used to it, I think it really made the experience for me...
Of course, the ADD was not a problem here, my ear was captured!

I have an Ensonig ESQ-1 but I can't play anywhere near this good! Nice outlay of sounds. Yes, a melody needs to emerge.

Thoroughly enjoyable...
I absolutely love the SOUND of your piano on this recording: such clarity, and you play with such a nice sense of rubato, unrushed and diligent and deliberate. This is a lovely song that gently plays on the ears. Your flute/piccolo trills and broken chords are perfectly placed and played, too. This song is such a pleasant treat in just about every single way.
