final lullaby

a fun one for a rainy day. I haven't even heard it yet lol. in the 90s I started playing guitar like crazy. I tried to write a song a week! I played anywhere they'd let me -- coffee houses, bars, venues when the bands took a break -- ended up with a regular gig every saturday night between bands at a youth center. I was NOT very good -- but every now and then got a compliment -- mostly, how brave I was to get up and play like that lol. still have some videos from back then, they raise a cringe or two :-) feels good to pick up the guitar again, even if I'm still not very good!

blessed and feelin fine
and i think i know what's mine this time this time
doin what i'm doin and lovin it
knew i'm not gonna be shovin it not mine it's time

this is your final lullaby
i'll see you when you get to the sky

be like you be
remind me a lot of me i -- all so blind
take what you want from today
why you still runnin this way
cause you're gonna die in time

this is your final lullaby
bye bye baby bye bye - bye bye

heard about what you said love could mean
said friends would end up dead to me
it's what you probably mean -- ooo -- eeee yeah -- my
door shut with a clang

take what you want this time
doin what you want that's fine
don't expect me to pine when you climb

out of the skin you're wearin
you're the one whose darin
and everybody is starin

this is your final lullaby
bye bye baby bye bye

you notice i'm on the second page
it flew me right on into a rage
but i knew you were on the stage all the time bye bye

yi -- ay - now you got what you want
you wanted what you bought -- door shut with a clang

yeah i ain't seen you in a long long time
lame you rid your time
didn't know it'd be this way ah - missin today - missin today

aw your'e feelin like a drag
wonder that you up and hid
from to doin ok -- livin this life of sin -- in your sin

wanderin to the boat
there in that grave alone
feeling the eternal flames - -yeah worms eat your brain - aw fine., that's right, that's right

what if you had another chance
would you do another dance
by chance would you dance

this is your final lullaby

I kind of liked the rawness if this track. The vocals out of sync bouncing from one side to the other. The riff and changes are very good. (catchy) I think this is more Psychedelic than Alternative - But then I'm no expert on Genres. Nice job Mr. Ed.

Enjoyed - Thanks for sharing,

thank you!
hmmm psych -- a little deep purple. man I love my jp8000 -- I think I'll use this keyboard sound on every song from now on! lol -- had trouble with this one, used yamaha psr100 for original drums at 164 bpm -- the cheap keyboard isn't EXACTLY 164 when you set it that way -- so had to physically align drums on demand a measure at a time. painstaking and time consuming. added a little cowbell while I was at it lol :-)

thank you!
I remember spending hours in a studio I was working in aligning drum tracks. What a pain - I know. It's becoming a lot simpler with the latest software and stretch. I use DP which has yet to employ that technology but I have several ways to work around it. If this ever happens again try correcting 8 measures then copy and paste it at the end then copy 16 , etc... you get the picture. Anyway, Nice job again - Have a great holiday season -

hi and thank you
lol well this project is done for now :-) I can't muster enough free time to work this stuff out properly so we get what we get! sheesh it would take weeks PER SONG to get everything just right. I'm sort of frustrated I hope logic express works out.

I've heard strawberry alarm clock, the beatles, talking heads, the doors, syd Barrett, the cure, ric ocasek, pink Floyd, jad fair, and gibby haines -- this is a first! pete Townsend! I love the who.

thanks so much, I'm happy here on macjams with these wonderful comparisons. I know in my heart I'm a pale imitation at best but with all the encouraging feedback I'm going to keep at it. :-) besides it's fun!!

merry Christmas :-D
