Description
Much of this song is almost old enough to drink here in the states.
Originally composed on a Korg o1w/fd, I never got around to producing a nearly completed song out of it. Which is to say that I've NEVER completed any of the hundreds of recordings I've done over twenty-five years. They all exist as ideas.
My New Years Resolution is to break that cycle repeatedly.

How many of you out there are so chock full of ideas that once the basics are recorded, you are off to another idea?

My next goal is to record some lyrics....perhaps after a cup of courage...you know what they say...if the song is almost old enough to drink...

Moon Over Lakewood
This is a very nice instrumental bed with plenty of room for a vocal. I like the synth orchestration!

Oooh this is very nice..

I like how it's an idea sketch.. lots of great quirky patterns .. with some very catchy returning themes .. I love the beat too: made me think a little of Depeche Mode + Gary Numan .. also made me think of some major film kinda application.

Thanks For The Input
I am a product of the underground 80's and Depeche Mode, Numan etc are all influences.
It's kinda funny, I tried to add layers to this and after listening to it dozens of times and through repetition my brain makes sense of all the quirky layers, now that it is at this stage, I've listened to it again and feel it is disjointed and constructed poorly with the quirky parts needing much cleaning up.

i like your sound. you need to break your cycle my friend, you have some great ideas and I for one would like to hear more of them. this is a crazy track, sort of 80's, sort of circus-ey, very cinematic. great job.

It's awful isn't it? Mine's due to that short attention span again.

I like the chords and the "themes" within, but it could use a little more "beef," I think. Like it's missing some dynamics to make the song shine thru.
