You Know I Never Loved You

A sappy attempt at song writing and singing. This was the first song I attempted to sing back in 08, It was so sappy and such a bad attempt that it has sat inert for a long time on my HD. It is however a part of my journey in music and therefore should be on the public record. If it makes you laugh at least it had an effect..LOL...

Shame on you !
That you kept it away for so long from us ! :-)

Being the singer I am myself, the feeling that arise is respect. I think this was a great attempt (and besides, I heard other songs, like "Softer than Silk" where you sung fantastically - I encourage everyone to check it out). In addition, musically it's fantastic too, this is a very cool song and nicely played.

Oh also, if the guitars on this were you, I'm quitting making music :-)

Hey - I'm smiling
because this such a cool track. The rising synth thing is crazy and the guitars are cool - the lead almost sounds like an electric violin. I think the vocals great - I get the sap factor - but who cares - it's brave and part of the whole package.

You Know I Never Loved You
Nothing funny about that bass line (it rocks). I like the vocal. There's a touch of Peter Gabriel in your throaty delivery.

Nothing sappy about this. Very good first attempt at singing. Keep them coming.

You Know I Never Loved you
Long live the fossil record. Yes, a sap factor to be sure, but also the foreshadowing of greatness to come. I just can't get over the guitar sounds on this, so shrill they could cut diamonds. All the notes and chords are there, and killer, just needs some low end EQ! Thanks for being brave..

I like your vocal tone and expression! I also enjoy the shifts in the middle sections... all and all a very nice piece.

Hard core..
I've been thinking about redoing a few of mine, from back in the day...
Just to get them off my chest and say they did have a life at one point
in time, how ever short it might have been...
Public record, it's the journey and understanding how you got where you are and the hoops you had to jump through to get there...

anything like me you've forgotten more then most will ever know...
It's what we have in common..... Time....

i never loved you
this doesn't sound sappy at all...i thought sappy was soft and sentimental....this rocks out from the start. where are your lyrics? are you that ashamed that you don't dare post your lyrics? the section at 1.50 with the reverb was cool. is the chick in the chair the one you are writing about?
this is a cool song....i don't know why you're on a downer. get therapy.

Yves is right!
"Shame on you" for keeping this one locked away for so long! I don't think it's sappy at all. Voice is great. Mix is pretty near there... What's not to like Dave?

Be well friend!
