Gestalt Prime (The Tunnel at the End of the Light Mix)

This mix came about when I was thinking about the idea of a journey towards the centre of the Cosmos. The point where everything started. Will there be nothing there, as it's all been thrown outwards, or will there be a continuous outpouring of new/recycled particles, making life again possible millions of years down the road?

It's put together by using a MIDI track 'back to front' and arranging instruments from this point of view, as though running an audio tape backwards.

Don't have nightmares.......

Your descriptions are just as interesting to read as your tunes are to listen to. What a great scenario you've planted in my head. Awesome Ambient tune!

this is deliciously understated. like Dani, I think the descriptions you provide are always appropriate and set the mind in the right context for the 'journey' of your music.
you've created a beautiful mood here.

End of the light
Reminds me of a lyric from 70s space prog band Hawkwind, which once filled my head with wonder. "I am the center of the Universe. The wind of time is blowing through me. It's all moving relative to me." Strangely enough, there is no center. But enough astronomy lessons. The thought is mind expanding, and I think it's a great theme for yet another truly genuine space ambient piece a la R56. Very enjoyable work.

and immersive. You have near infinite patience Paul in how you evolve each piece. There is time for the impact of what is going on to fully penetrate the senses.

Lovely work here, as always.
