Description
I was at work late at night in Manhattan on the 6th floor. It was raining. I was very tired and I turned out my office light to go. I looked outside of my huge floor-to-ceiling window and saw a girl across the way an another office sitting, staring motionless at her computer. She seemed frozen in time.

She Is Ready For The Call
©2011 skunkwrx
Staring into her small screen
Heart sinks and the rain is washing
But it doesn’t even bother her
When it starts to smother her
Window onto the wall
Head raised to the pain and saying
She is ready for the call
(I think she is)
She is ready for the call
(I think she is)
She is ready for the call
Just another machine praying
The boxes stay the same
But the names are always changing
Years falling like the rain
Gears crying sounds like singing
She is ready for the call
(I think she is)
She is ready for the call
(I think she is)
She is ready for the call
Just another machine praying
Just another machine praying
