Description
Protest written in the classic tradition. I actually recorded this a couple of weeks ago. But it depressed me. Today I redid it. It's a bit crusty. But there it is.

Now back to work!

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Enjoy,
Doug

Gentle Protest
Really unexpected this, given the subject matter. Loved the way that the argument is put so gently, with lovely harmonies.

i suppose i imagined it was going to sound like some sort of partial, bitter tirade. Such a nice surprise that it wasn't like that at all.

Really enjoyed it.

A gentle protest song
Hi Doug. Not really up with the back story on this one (being from Downunder) but the sincerity shines though. A gentle protest song with some nice harmonies. Where do I sign? Regards, Peter.

I'm into
protest songs since one of my pet hates is injustice..... you created a really nice melody here Doug in which to have your say and you say and perform the words well, regards M

Status Quo
Between the big corps & the government (Is there a distinction nowadays?) the middle class is going down. Probably won't get reversed until there is fighting in the streets. I can relate to the sentiment, nice song Doug.

Wow
This was done with such class, makes a powerful point, yet remains mellow. Very nice, your voice sounds great too!

Heartfelt
The clenched fist really didn't fit the mood of the song which was gentle although very effective and sincere. Now if we could just get all those idiots and fools to stop watching Jersey Shore long enough to hear it.

freedom
from whatever direction... freedom is never free. I realized that we are all inept at something, but it really takes one being in a position of authority to really show where one's ineptitude lies, Like the 'crusty' flavor to this.

Thanks all!
Every time I turn around, our governor wants to take from the poor, or take protections away from our natural environments, or rights from our farmers, workers and families. It's just not stopping! I may work on a less subtle song, down the line.

Sorry I missed this earlier. Nice piece of songwriting. I'm originally from WI now live in MN. I'm appalled by Walker and his ilk. Thought about writing a protest song--but you went and did it. Right on, brother!
