Not long ago I got the talented Christina Stroeh to improvise 30 minutes of piano music in my home studio. After she left, I listened intently to the entire track and found a particular minute to be particularly beautiful. I then got to work, first changing a few notes here and there. Then I thought to dump the piano altogether and replace it with some acoustic guitars. Then I began extracting bass and melodic lines from Christina's track and assigning them to fiddle and cello. And then the drum/percussion parts were added. Finally, I did quite a bit of processing using IK Multimedia's T-RackS 3 plugins to get just the right sounds from the individual tracks, carving a space for each instruments to assert itself yet compliment the other instruments. Enough already, just listen and enjoy. Always up for constructive criticisms by the way, so just let me know of any concerns.

Should mention that acoustic guitar parts come from the wonderful Applied Acoustic Systems' String Studio which is worth checking out.

I haven't heard your work in a long time, don't frequent icomp that often, so I missed a lot of good music. This is very pretty, short but very nice.

Hello George,
I found this out of pure luck surfing IK forum and read your post which linked me here. (Small world) anyhow, I hope I can make as good of use of the T-Racks processors as you have. I really enjoyed your work.

Thanks for sharing,

mvh : )
