Experimental Gospel/Blues? This song is about age, and the relationship between a greater force and its subjects. "Hebel" is a Hebrew word for breath, or something transient.

so frail the motions
I suppose I'll succumb to the law of gravity
I've giving it back now these bones you've given me
been immobile for so long please show your sympathy

even if you try to fight it
its got you under its stellar dome
don't you rise up from your knees
they were never yours to keep

you can pierce my sight with the arrow of time
still I dream in vivid color
you can mutilate with the hammer of fate
what good is this vehicle anyway?

this is the last unreality
every memory is a permanent injury
we crawl underneath its feet

even if you try to fight it
its got you under its coffee cup
you're only good for one sorry breakfast
you sure all look the same to me

you don't know why
it left you dry
with your lemon rind
on the side of the pews
with your lemon rind
you don't know why
it gets you high

in this black balloon

even if you try to fight it
its got you under its twisted spell
don't pretend that you don't like it
it's the biggest joke you've got to tell

Intro felt like Tom Waits territory...then you make it yours with cool, angular vocal line. Dig the chorus section.

Greater force
That breathing sound in the back sounds like a greater force indeed. Weird how the imprecise rhythms unlock and lock randomly. The vocals on top of that become surreal, specially with the quasi-pop chorus. Über creative.

nice contrast
the contrast of the vocal style and the industrial and sort of dark sound surprised me, but I liked it. It's nice to see something that has a unique sound to it. I love how the percussion was done on this track. really liking the atmosphere to this piece. nice track.

music plays sideways through my mind. the lyrics claw at the monolith of meaning, drawing ephemeral lines in the granite reality that are washed away with the next breath of pseudo-divine wisdom. it is best to ignore those who pretend to read the cards of fate, and instead live life with a smile of ineffable joy.

The music, aside from the disturbingly regular metronomic clock-tick, was delightfully quirky, with unusual and fresh choices made for instruments. Your singing voice is smooth, controlled, dynamic, and versatile, a joy to listen to. Welcome to Macjams, you will love the playground here.

"Every memory is a permanent injury". I felt that line man, pierced right through me. You have a great voice! It blended nicely with the track, which was hauntingly interesting in itself. Great stuff!

Experimental music is any music that challenges the commonly accepted notions of what music is. There is an overlap with avant-garde music. John Cage was a pioneer in experimental music and defined and gave credibility to the form. As with other edge
