Magnetic Anomaly Fanfare

Randomly generated midi from a program called Nodal fed into Ableton synths and drums and then arranged into a track. Final gestation and added garnishes in Logic. Its not really everyones cup of tea but my HAL 9000 unit encouraged me in a sort of polite, threatening way to post it. Enjoy.

You kidding? I love this kind of stuff! It keeps my ears interested and my mind engaged...the beats are dancing and bouncing in my head like a pinball machine!! Cool bass that comes in too...

Wow - love generative music
Reminds me of Diamonda Galas a little bit! Have you checked out Mixtikl? If you are into generative music its a great tool as well. Used it on a few tracks of mine - nothing quite as random as this though! What synths in ableton give that sound at the start? Granular synth?

directed randomness
Very cool track. Individual notes may be random, but overall there is a structure to it.

HAL 9000
knows a good thing when he hears it. It is what a benevolent gremlin (with more musical talent than most possess) would play with some spirit and innovation, just for fun. Love it. Do more! Thanks.
