Description
I did a lot of leisurely traveling around the US in my years after college and this song was written in mind of some time I spent in the "Bible Belt." I'm particularly proud of the vibes solo in it, which I feel hit right on the atmosphere of the song.

Lyrics
The man from Missouri has to see the show
before he believes anything he reads
and I'm stuck relyin' on my seventh sense
but still sometimes, I never do take heed

The land of Missouri is the show me state
but they didn't show me a bloody thing
cause my eyes weren't open at the time
Missouri man's the cable TV king

Show Me Show me Show me Show me
I'll trust my ears and my years baby if you don't mind
Show me show me show me
Deaf in your eyes and your mind and you know I'm not stayin'

Saw Kansas City and the Gateway Arch
or was that Nebraska and Arkansas
They all look the same where the mountains aren't
Still no one showed me anything at all

Show Me Show me Show me Show me
I'll trust my ears and my years baby if you don't mind
Show me show me show me
I'm goin' slow cause I know we're not gonna be playin'

Show Me Show me Show me Show me
I'll trust my ears and my years baby if you don't mind
Show me show me show me
Give me your words cause you know that I get what you're sayin'

Striking
Loved the big sound and coal-hammer rhythm. The Earthy ambient backing held the vocal well before allowing it to pop out in the chorus.
Vibrant solo was a surprise :) There was a pleasing little kick riff at the verse end. Superb narration.

Oh yeah!
Missouri, man I didn't know the belt was way up there, for some reason this reminds me of ween, thats high praise in my book! great slow driving beat love that guitar, cool to go out on a limb in that solo I think it works it really brings the song into another dimension then your back! Very cool!

Cool..
I like the big backbeat choice; gives it a wide open sense of space... This could be a Doors tune, it's got that sort of vibe... Speaking of vibe, I agree, the vibe solo is a well-placed bit, like an intermezzo...

I like the slow groove. The chord progression, crunchy guitars and overall feel remind me of a Neil Young song.

Guitars are great ... love the crunchy tremelo. I have to agree with the Neil influence. It works well with that spacious bed track underneath slowly driving. Good delivery of your lyrics. Fine tune!

It's like "The Cramps" doing Bible belt country. Really unsettling. Went to school in Kansas City, so I know of what I speak.
