Description
This is a song that when I wrote it I heard it as sort of a Phil Spector 60s type song. When I produced it, it turned out more like the Beach Boys I think.

Lyrics
You must know the way you do it to me girl
The sweet kinda love you bring to me
Yeah there was a time when I was goin' thru some changes
but that went away and now
nothin' could come between you and me

You must know the way you do it to me girl
Oh, all of that thing you give so free
Yeah there was a time when we were almost strangers
but that will not happen cause
I know what matters, you're my priority

If I ever tried to tell ya what you've meant to me
I would probably end up cryin like a fool
Oh I lay awake and wonder what I'd ever do if you were gone
and no, I couldn't go on

You must know the way you do it to me girl
Oh so many times you make me see
that I'm not all here if you are not around me
Won't take it for granted cause
I know exactly where I want to be

You must know

You Must know
Hey man, I really think this song has some very strong points, it is well written and the guitar and lead vocal are both superb. I'm not sure I'm overly struck on the backing harmony vocals, they are either too loud or something as they seem to be too commanding in the song. Overall though a really good tune

thanks
actually the production is meant to be more of a vocal ensemble, big sounding wall of harmonies.

Harmony Fest
I like this one for the harmonies especially - they make such an ethereal foil for the deep sincerity in the lead vocal - There is a sweet lift @ "If I ever" It does remind me slightly of another song but not sure which, maybe it's just so good I think it must be a hit already haha!

I think
you dis very well to do those backing harmonies, because I've always found it very hard to harmonies with my own voice (a key issue). The song is great; nice retro sixties feel. everything sounds great with really nice vocal, though all i'd say was to just ease back a little from the mic' to get it less boomy, but I enjoyed this..... and why wouldn't I, when it's a style from my era LOL, regards M

yes it's way retro heh
well I kept the lead vocal high presence to cut thru the backing harmonies, but thanks for the comments, glad you liked it
