This is the fourth song in my series of remixing old recordings of old Icelandic folk songs.

The original recording, made by Guðmundur Þorsteinsson, can be found here and I suggest you listen to that before my remix.

Ég á hund, mitt unga sprund,
eins og þig í framan.
Um aftanstund á grænni grund
gæfi ég ykkur saman.

Ég á tík, sem er þér lík
í augna- og háralagi,
væri hún rík, mér virtist slík
vera af sama tagi.

Another good one
The first in the series was hilarious and the second an instant hit. The third I might have missed? And now this, which sounds slightly more conventional perhaps, but still a real nice listen.

Might one ask for a translation into English as well? Since some words look a little like Swedish it is otherwise tempting to make up a story that's not necessarily the true one ;-)

Take care,

i really like what you're doing here. Sigur Ros did that record with that fisherman who sang some poetry, but this is completely different (that was almost to be expected). nice track and excellent manipulation of the vocals.
