There ain't no money in the bank anymore
I feel my heart it breaks, like the times before
candles light the way, change is at the door
Empty beer cans are struned about the floor.

I bit the apple and it's rotten to the core
brown glass breaks before my eyes, and it's a bore
darkness at the gates, shadows show the thorns
caught in tidle waves that break upon the shore

will I find myself or will I just get old
misshapen clay of this it's time to break the mold
find my love for life or be left out in the cold
in the end will there be stories to be told?

Someone tell me if I suck or not. I get a small enough amount of feedback on music anyway. That why I'm here.

I'm no critic
But your name for the song, even if it was meant to be a joke (or not) shows disrespect to whomever listens to it. Now your vocals suggest a Cash like feel to it and the lyrics are pretty serious about loneliness, but I got turned off seeing the title-but that's just me, so I didn't take the song seriously. After listening to it, you don't suck. One suggestion: maybe increasing the levels for the vox, because the lower registers are almost inaudible for me at least. Other than being a little short all else is good in my ears.

No disrespect
I have and always will love Johnny cash. The title is a reflection of such. If anyone feels insulted by this than your way off base. I could record Folsom Prison as a remake, but I'd just as soon tribute a great song writer and performer in another way.

good one
I like this one man. Has a great Cash sound. The guitar riff is simple and catchy. At first the buzzing in the background stood out but after I got in the song a little I think it adds to the feel. What did you record this one on?

No confusion on the title here. I dig it.

I record with cakewalk pro audio (old school). The background noise was from a faulty mic on the conga track, and I agree, but Oh well.

I hope you got my messages. I love the remakes. I had no idea back in the day that you wrote those. Your songs on here have a good clean sound to them. I like a lot of them.

No pun is a great memory for me. We had some good times in the short amount of time we knew each other. NEVER TOUR THE DAKOTAS AGAIN (mosquito park) LMAO.

I thought
the title should've read I'm Johnny Cash's Bitch and that it meant that this would be an homage. You certainly have the low bass delivery of your idol and his sensibility. I think you mean, "strewned about the floor". :) Thanks.
