varispeed reprise (enovox)

another from the enovox imaginary soundtracks series. this one is built around reversed piano, mellotron and a lot of tape delay. I used Logics varispeed function to mess with the pitch of this stuff.

Sounds great
Almost like Silent Night sent down from space. Cool sounds and soft composition. Neat. Thanks for sharing this little gem.

Take care,

Interesting sounds
and you've hidden the piano nicely ;-) A really enjoyable listen, as far as it went. It's a relaxing, ambient kind of track that should be much longer: a minute and a half is not enough time to really chill out, but I'll take what I can get. Thanks ;-)

Like Slow Twirling Counter-clockwise
This has such a restful quality to it. It is a little spacey, but also so relaxation inspiring. I wonder if the reversed instruments affect our cognition somehow? The other image I get is the music I used to hear as a kid coming into church before the service started, only your track is way more expansive and absorbing.

Cool project and thanks for making dloads available.

I'm often confused....
...about how to respond to these kinds of pieces. It's not really a
song at all, is it? It's more of a soundscape, sonic wallpaper, or a tint on your sunglasses that makes you see the world in an entirely new way. It's more subtle
and profound than anything I could ever muster using words with my little ditties - because this makes me FEEL something and allows my imagination (such that it is) do the rest. Thank you.

Backwards mellotron...
Michael, that's, like, more retro than retro...

Mind you, once you hear it, mellotron seems like it was DESIGNED to go backwards...

This is really quite pretty and I really like it.

read somewhere once that when Hendrix did those backwards solo's, he would learn to play them in reverse and then reverse the tape so thye played the right melody. Luckily I have technology on my side. I just played the notes I wanted to play, cut then all at the transients and then reversed the individual notes in their original position. Logic rules. thanks Tim.

You boggle
my mind with what you know how to do. And then you soothe it again with something ethereal that I felt I was floating. Cool. Thanks.
