(ennead #1) This Joke Has Gone Too Far

 Genre: Other

i tried to write a bunch of one minute or less songs in a variety of styles to create an old fashioned LP like in the old days except something you can listen to with a minimum commitment of time.

i think it is notable to mention that every sound recorded was made with a $5 Guitar, a 2 inch toy tambourine, a jar of bird seed, a toy recorder, a mouse pad and plastic drum sticks and my voice.

i. Tall trees - 0:34
ii. Smug look – 0:32
iii. Someone is singing - 0:21
iv. Inside a Jar – 0:46
v. Lemon grass – 0:54
vi. The riddle – 0:44
vii. The truth -0:18
viii. Lies – 1:00
ix. Piece of Glass – 0:31

when i'm feeling small
when my back's to the wall
when my life seems to lose direction
and nothing matters at all

i go out to the tall tall trees
and i get down on my knees

am in a jar
this joke has gone to far
please let me out

it's alright, it's OK now
i think i'm gonna blow like a volcano
don't wanna work, i just wanna play
please lay me down in the lemon grass

oh my baby she told me so
she said baby, we got no place to go
take me down, and take it off slow
lay me down in the lemon grass

it's OK, it's alright now
i can keep it up most of the night now
she feels good, she outta sight
when she's laying down in the lemon grass

you want it
you got it
you bought it
it's yours

and when it turns to ****
you know you're stuck with it
i'll be with you in a little bit
it's the riddle in the middle of your eyes

You're running around with your head in the clouds
and your nose in the air and your looking down
at the folks of this town
with that smug look upon your face
some day some body's gonna put you in your place

my momma told me you should always tell the truth
but that was such a pack of lies
i try to tell you things but baby what's the use
when all it does is make you cry

every time you go away
every time you leave
i don't know what to think
don't to know what to believe is true
cuz you're telling lies
with your lips and your eyes
and your heart besides

and when you walk
barefoot upon the grass
be careful you don't step
upon a piece of glass

Creative and fun.
Nice compilation of a magnificent approach to the joy of music. Bob Dylan in the house. Vocal features are particularly impressive my man. Great presentation. Happy New Year

What a cool idea! And beautifully executed. Lots of variety. Amazing achievement with what you're using, too. Much enjoyed! Which track might you release as the single?
