This is a development of a tune by mahler24 ( at http://www.macjams.com/song/69021 ) who was interested in a vocal version. My thanks to him for letting me loose on it!

I took the working title of "Titan" to create a song about one of the Titan Greek goddesses, Selene. She loved a mortal shepherd so handsome that she asked Zeus to grant him eternal sleep so that he would stay forever young and thus would never leave her. Every night Selene would visit him....

Comes the night
the journey beckons
her golden light
radiates & quickens

The hunt is ended
a darkened cave
just as intended
for to him enslave

Oh, two worlds collide and never part
What future then for these two hearts?

Bound forever
he'll never leave
no-one can sever
as to each they cleave

Their love is deep
and forever young
but eternal sleep
is the song unsung

Oh, two worlds collide and never part
What future then for these two hearts?

Given that I will dare to see the explanation
of why this love should just not be

Things that I doubt believe us
things that are frightening
just based and held on "two can"

Titans are everywhere
but they cannot compare
the younger are keen to take control

Sing it around the earth
Olympians take their perch
It's not the way to end this,
a way of passing through.

Great combo
... of modern Gabriel - style rock and lovely vocals. I can't believe two people downloaded this and didn't comment, unless they're busy listening to it again. A very controlled performance. Downloaded and added to my growing collection of stellar MacJams performances.

Haunting vocal performance, very nicely done! The backer is good on its own but your vocal and lyric really evoke a mood! Nice job, you have a nice voice.

Backing has an "other worldly" quality. Dreamy vocal characterised by your typical purity of tone - very warm and dreamy. Beautiful!

Great to hear you collaborating and writing, Rosalind. I like the theme you developed and the lyrics do it justice. Your voice is wonderful to listen to, as always. Regards, Peter.

Rosalind, your voice is absolutely captivating. The way you've built on the backing track is seamless and it makes for a hypnotizing listen. Beautiful!

very very unique well done
I love the soundscape , I am even jealous.
Brilliant use of synth sounds and white noise.
I would just have the vocals a little more prominent , but that is only a very minor thing overall you got a piece is so atmospheric and interesting that it will stand the test of time like the characters it portrays.
Well done , and very befitting picture too.
