Getting sentimental
Smooth and relaxing, played with gentle ease - just as it should be! Much enjoyed.

Takes me back to stage band
Nice treatment of this classic - you have the timing just right for that 40's feel. I usually think of the Tommy Dorsey version so this makes for a welcome change!

Do you do all of the instrumentals on this on the Clavinova?

Thanks for the post!

hi Doug
Yes all instruments are from the Clavinova. I never use outside loops or backing tracks. I appreciate your listen and comment...someone who knows what he's listening to! Thanks!

Memory lane
A stroll down memory lane. The Dorsey brothers where my mother's favorite. (My dad preferred Woody Herman.)

One thought, consider altering the repetitive nature of your chording, the rhythms. Using more syncopated variations in the beginning and ending of phrases helps to maintain the spontaneity achieved by the arrangements of the era.

Thanks for sharing this.

Hi folks. I hope you will enjoy my piano tunes. I play and arrange them all on either the Yamaha Clavinova or the Korg keyboard, never use backing tracks or loops. But if if I decide to try that someday you'll be the first to know!. It feels real... [see more]
