WHEN THE WOODS ARE FREE PART 3
The angular melodic phrases and syncopation are quite interesting. I really enjoyed your use of low strings!

thanks Andrew
Again your comments are to the point- I've deliberately gone a bit further "out there" in this work melodically and rhythmically (and in some harmonies too) than I usually do.
Cheers

Same general orchestra...
...this one is muddier than the previous movement. Better when you take off with just the harp and flute. When you add strings and bass, things tend to get very cluttered in your arrangement... I love the general counterpoint between flute and harp. ... The occasional "odd" note in your orchestration is not so surprising as it is delightful.

Hi Paul
There may be something in what you say- I certainly like the harp and flute part playing off each other the most perhaps - and maybe the little bass riff bit.
Mind you I was aiming for a late romantic texture with a bit of celtic influence-
rather a strange mixture I guess.
