Mash-up of Edge Of Glory by Lady Gaga & Unrequited Love by Songwriterz

Just wanted to share with you this mash-up we did, just for fun.
First you hear our Unrequited Love sung to Lady Gagas Edge Of Glory instrumental track, followed by Heidi singing Edge Of Glory on our own Unrequited Love instrumental track. (We don't own the rights to Edge Of Glory - all rights regarding that song belongs to Lady Gaga)

These two songs has a remarkable resemblance, but it's worth mentioning that Unrequited Love was recorded before the release of Edge Of Glory.... enjoy ;)

Unrequited Love / Edge Of Glory
That's probably happened to artists more times than we can count...My 13 year old son was hammering out a new original tune on his guitar the other day and sounding good.Only problem was that it sounded just like a Steve Miller tune from the 70s which he had never heard of.

Enjoyed your post...Sounds so clean and polished.

Well that's a bit of fun! I have to admit I'm not too familiar with Lady Gaga's work, so the comparison is a bit lost on me, but it all comes out as fairly seamless. And your voice is always a delight to listen to, Heidi! Of course, there are lots of similarities in the basic backings of many songs - I always enjoy listening to The Axis of Awesome do this sort of thing, too (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOlDewpCfZQ). Beautiful work, Heidi and Michael!

Interesting coincidence... As Philip says, Heidi, it is always great to hear you singing, in whatever context. Take care, Peter.

Thanks for your comments on this one guys :) There are billions of mash-ups, just never thought our song would fit perfectly in one of Gagas songs ha ha :) Anyway, it was nice of you to stop by and for taking time to listen and comment - much appreciated :) Love Heidi

Techno Dance
I don't know if this fits into that category or not, but the driving rhythm suggests that to me. The best part of this "mash up" is, of course, Heidi's perfect vocalization of this style. Your little band pulls this off without a blip -- another masterful mixing job, I'd say.

Thank you Paul for your very sweet words :) I actually don't think there's any techno left in todays music.. today this genre is called pop or maybe pop/dance.. :) Genres are evolving :) Thank you again Paul, I really appreciate the kind words and the listen - love Heidi
