Description
I just found this song that I recorded in 2008 (roughly). No one ever heard it except me and one friend, but I think it might be worth sharing. It was a darker period in my life, but I don't think that requires silence.

Lyrics
Inside him something is growing in size and in ferocity
though subtle at first, it's overwhelming now to whiteness his thoughts give way
I see it in his eyes, those blood shot dried up weary eyes
but I know. Nothing.
So I say man whats the problem here, whats killing you
he said son it's not whats killing it's what's been killed and thats every one i know

I know this bench I know this store I've meet the sidewalk
I eat whatever I find
can you tell me how much comfort you can find, on your own.

I knew this girl named Karen and she could smile, she was born to smile.
One day I asked her to make a wish, would you say a prayer for me cause I've been
feeling so lonely, repetition can be a condition. And I can't look my best friend in his eyes, anymore.

It's as if i've got no one. I need someone, oh karen.

Thats when she smiled.

(I remember that day. Sitting like an indian on your oh so comfortable floor.
You watched me with those soft brown eyes as I pretended to read the newspaper.
Then I looked up at there big blue chair, it's occupant starred back and chuckled at me ink stained hands. You laughed too and said come with me, lets wash those hands. It's never too late to wash your dirty hands. Some time later you handed me a watering can and pointed to the flower by the window and said "Make it grow". My arms started to shake. It seems the weight of the watering can was more than could carry on my own. So you held it for me, for a little while. Then you said "Don't be afraid if that flower doesn't stand as tall as the other. Just water it, think of me, and watch it grow").

Karen's Song
Dark, yes. But it draws you in. The emotional vocals and the strong guitar work possess a quality that demands one keeps listening. The spoken section at the end was well done. Congratulations. Regards, Peter.
