I couldn't really tell you .. just a bunch of thoughts and feeling about people I know and even myself .. I really could use some help and/ or new ears to help me with my subpar mastering skills ... I've mixed this so much that I don't even hear it anymore .. I must have recorded /rerecorded the bass and drums twenty times as well as the vocals ... I cant tell if I love it or hate it any more

Well, here's my two cents...Vocals sound really good from what i can tell, BUT they are buried. All of the instrumentation seems like it is "pegged", almost overdriven sounding. You need to experiment with bringing levels back, using eq and compression to sculpt this a bit, calm it down. It also sounds to my ear through speakers to be very center-mixed,,,try spreading percussion and other instrumentation across the stereo field to give width, adding reverb to provide depth. The song has a ton of potential, but the mix as it is now is "in the way". Keep working at it J!

though it gets better the vocal was too quiet in the beginning and the backing music is pretty much too prominent throughout. Nice, vibrant song with a bit of south sea's swagger. You'll get there.

Great voice there.
Also I like the tune and performances. There's something not right about the mixing but I'm not knowledgeable enough to give advice on that yet. It lacks spread and clarity, how to add clarity I don't know; spread is easy, pan some of the instruments around so they aren't all in the center. Do you have a really decent mic? Because with a voice like that you ought to have a really good one; any old mic will not do...

good singing * then = pump the singing 2 db. but just in the first 1/4 of the tune - then boom nice refrain - but that mighty chorus is hot enough...volume-wise -
the tom rolls rule. and then again in the verse section - up the vocals 2 db.
