i know how lost and lonely
your world was for a while
your eyes were sad and empty
your face without a smile

your world was out of focus
walking down the wrong street
and always wishing i could be there
to wipe the tears from each defeat

someday i'll be with you
someday we won't be blue

you never gave up hope
i knew that you'd win
i know that you beside me
i know my heart would sing

you are still the girl i love
who brings me so much joy
you are still a part of me
and that's no lie....that's no lie

with strength and dignity
you washed away all the pain
rebuilding all your hopes and dreams
you learned to smile again

with that smile upon your face
newfound peace of mind
with fun and laughter in your heart
you left my world behind

You look younger than I remembered, Mark (the beard?). Has all this 80's music taken you back to the future. Another quality offering from the basement. I like this style of music better now than I ever did when it came out. The bass really drives things along. Enjoyed Thanks, Peter.

It's fun sometimes to go back and revisit an old song with new ideas. A great balance of the synths and guitars. You really got the "80s guitar" sound and I'm more than a little jealous. I still can't get it just quite right.

Really a great tune. Thanks for sharing.

Great mix!
Crystal clear sound and nicely sparse arrangement. Everything is where it should be, and all tracks are really well played/sung/recorded. Very good production.
Great post!

Good bouncy feel to the song. It all rolls along well. The synth line is good, the drums and bass push things well. Vocal is engaging. Varied arrangement. Gutars sound good. I like this a lot!

as usual, well produced, well structured, interesting arrangement and good singing adding up to a great song! the melody reminded me a bit of 80s kings the P-furs.
