Hi everyone. I have a page under Gadzooks but I felt that the Groove Hounds are starting to make our own sounds so I created a page for the band so we can upload some songs as we record them.
The Groove Hounds are a Halifax based trio that play a melodic mix of blues, R&B, jazz, funk and rock. Not ones to stick with the `status-quo`, we thrive on our own renditions of cover and original songs and prefer the live groove over perfection.
We are a part time band and play a few live gigs in the Halifax Nova Scotia area. We like to get together a few times a month over a beer ... or 2 and make stuff up on the spot. It's usually recorded then we take what we like, polish it up and add it to our sets.
The Groove Hounds are:
Stan Gadziola - Guitar, vocals,
Donnie MacNeil - Drums, vocals
Rob George - Bass, vocals
This is one we made up when Donnie started this beat, I started some chord on the off beat and Rob fell into place with the bass. It features Donnie our drummer on vocals with Rob and I singing back up ... Groove Hounds makin' some basement fun! Thanks for listening

Really 'Like your sound' - controlled, clean and precise and as you say - melodic. It was nice to hear that the solo didn't fall into the predictable trap that most do - ie 'blues man - gonna blow your mind bro' Very nicely recorded as well.
