Great atmosphere. You can hear the grains on sand blowing in that wind. That bass sound has a great Tony Levin vibe. Great piece!

Glad you enjoyed this. It is winter here in Australia and I needed to warm up, so I did a song about a warm place- like a desert :)

Nice
I'd rather listen to this song than being in the middle of that desert ;-)

It's different from your usual stuff but - eh - powerful in a trailing invincible kind of way, like a lava stream or, hm, a desert wind :-/

Sorry, not my best day with words ;-)

Take care,
Henke

Thank you Henke
I think being home in a cool room on a hot day with an ice cold beer is much more desirable than being out in that desert heat :) Thanks for stopping by.

Oasis up ahead
The guitar figure works as a hook. Those bell like synths fit perfectly... although drying this out might have been a reasonable course of action... the reverb is effective. I'll complain the bass line should be more adventurous, but it does hold the thing together. Great job on the production, thanks for posting your work for us to enjoy.

Nice of you to call in. Thank you very much for your comments, i appreciate what you say.
However I was trying to keep the bass line powerful, yet simple wanting the guitars and synths to not be hidden too much.
I am glad you enjoy my work and it is a pleasure to do so when I get positive feedback, so thank you!

Hi Gerald! I know that any combo of you and Charly is going to be an instant D/L for me (and thanks for that D/L!) Terrific project - love Charly's voice and your music and mix choices are superb (I'd add ESPECIALLY the bass!) :)

So nice of you to call in and take a listen to what Charley and I did. Charley's voice is very Gabrielesque and I was after a sound that Peter Gabriel did in the album 'Passion'. With big beats etc and what fitting way to get that was to ask PG himself to sing for me (well almost)

Drama!
What's the desert saying? Probably something involving the word "bugger." This is top - notch atmo - tastic film music, Gerald. Excellent production too.

Laughing at what you say about what the desert is saying, yes! I agree in some cases, it is hearing the agony of people who are lost in it and gasping on to life.
Glad you enjoyed this mate, your visit is much appreciated, glad you enjoyed this.
