Jody rode the red plastic Trojan Horse
Past grandma's Ponzi scheme through the
Silent Spring Garden into the longing arms of your
Cheating Heart baby
Every aspect under the contract of blue skies whispered,
"Tomorrow is denied."
And Jody sang, "Bitch we too big to fail."
(Discussion of toxic relationship)
No one can go back home.

Hi Daug......
You've hit the nail on the head once again. NOW is the time, blue skies and ALL.

I can hear 'Earth, Wind, Fire' covering this, in their own inimitable way and only if the powers that be let them.

You are what we say you are and even if you think you remember what we said, you're wrong, unless we say the same thing now.

Now is such a short term, relative word.

Take care.

The beginning got me. Then....well, a different universe. But it sounds good! I like the vibe. Takes me for the ride. It's in my head..... Nice piece of recording and writing.

I just wrote a long commentary and it suddenly disappeared. Wish I could remember it all. Suffice it to say, "What?" and to agree that "No one can go back home." We just charge into the future without a clue as to the outcome. I have no idea how you put all of these overlapping ideas (musical and vocal) together, but the feeling is one of traipsing through an amusement part and hearing bits and pieces of 12 rides colliding simultaneously. Charles Ives would have loved this. You have created something truly unique. Oh...maybe it's the bass that holds all these elements together. That was one of my original thoughts. Cool track in any event.

Hello Paul
Thanks for your comment. I do appreciate you stopping and listening. Seems you have a question?
What? What? The bass does hold the festivities together, agreed... can't put yer finger on what the key center might be or what the overall rhythmic division might be? Kind of like real life?
Poetic imagery which describes the relationship between our government and the governed is posted above, the psycho babble section should be familiar... if you ask a specific question I can help effectively... "What," is a specific question but in this circumstance too general? There is much "what" to wade through... :)

We won
the War on Poverty. But it looks like we lost the War on Squalor!
You pulled off a neat trick with this one: the auto tune voice (that I figured was a rip of contemporary music) actually GROOVES at the end! Much enjoyed!

Been here since the place opened. I hope you enjoy yourself here at MJ. In fall 2009, I erased the 60+ tunes I had posted since day one. MJ had changed, becoming hateful and repressive, and I needed to respond appropriately. What happe... [see more]
