Description
There are a lot of people on macjams that I would like to collab with and those people come and go, so once they've gone there goes the chance. I'm always wondering if the songs I come up with are good enough to ask someone to collaborate with, most of the time I shy away and finish posting them on line. The songs are mostly experimental to me. Long and in between some songs may click and render decent results. This is the next experiment in line.
I've been wanting to collab with Sigmund for quite sometime, he's an excellent guitar player, one of my favorite here on macjams. I thought the best approach was to send drums, rhythm guitars and vocal tracks to rok41 and see if he could spice it up a bit and that would entice Sig into laying down tracks. Chris said he would and returned with an extraordinary bass track which he recorded using his 74 Jazz through a tube driver.
Sure enough I sent the tracks with Chris's bass and Sig did me the favor of returning two fantastic guitar leads, one after the second chorus and the other on the finale. It's neat to hear both Chris and Sig playing off each other during the break and at the ending, even more cool to find me there amongst them.
rok41 - Bass
Sigmund - Lead Guitar
FEEL - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Kyle (GB) - Drums

Lyrics
All those tools are hanging in my room
I've got to try and get this out of the way
All those rules so many to abuse
They're for the taking or maybe for breaking
Play on this tune will carry on
Don't know what follows
I'll call it song
No fear the rules all disappears
With no perfection
It's all but my affection
Play time for hours in a day
Take time to fill a hungry mind
Playing blues is burning on the tubes
Just as it breaks I like the tone it makes
All those joules begin to fill the room
With all the sound it carries me away
Sing on continue carry on
Don't know what follows
I'll call it song
Who's ear is theory ever real
It's not perfection
But rather my inflection
Waste time for hours in a day
Make time to fill a hungry mind
All those rules so many to abuse
They're for the taking or maybe for breaking
Sing on continue carry on
Don't know what follows
I'll call it song
Who's ear is theory ever real
It's not perfection
But rather my inflection
Waste time for hours in a day
Make time to fill a hungry mind

I like the lazy feel of this - it got inside my head. Interesting sounds. Chris's bass drives it along - great tone he gets. Sig's guitar jumps in and takes the tune to another level, as is so often the case with his playing. Congrats to all and thanks for the download!
